The Canvas- "A Conversation with Artist Dhiraj Chowdhury"

Posted in

Known to many as the angry young artist he has now mellowed into a loving teddy bear. I was recently in conversation with Dhiraj Chowdhury, who resides in New Delhi and continues to work tirelessly. Below, is a gist of what we talked about. He continues to create with fervour and vengeance with every passing day, his zest for life is what makes me choose him as my subject of conversation today.

Scattered Pearls - "Journey of the Womb"

Posted in

This piece happens to be the first full-length personal essay/narrative that I had written, in the form of a diary or journal entrée during my first pregnancy. Today, five years after my elder daughter Srobona (Mithi) is there in our lives, I continue to revel in the countless joys, glories, the small milestones of victory and failure of our lives together, holding on to this precious bond called ‘Motherhood’.

"What Happened Next". The column which will bring you back for more!!
In Gopali's words "The short story is a form that is now enjoying a revival but has always been a part of mainstream literature. The stories in this column are not based on a particular event or person but on a conglomeration of both fact and fiction, to entertain, to bring a smile to your lips and most importantly perhaps, to make you wonder- "what happened next?

B'Khush is very excited to introduce a new column " The Canvas" by Joyotee Ray Chawdhury.

More about the column in Joyotee's words : “We artists are indestructible; even in a prison, or in a concentration camp, I would be almighty in my own world of art, even if I had to paint my pictures with my wet tongue on the dusty floor of my cell.” ― Pablo Picasso

In the Spotlight - Are You Ready for Jennifer L Berg ?

Posted in

This is as ready as we can be for her “Ready Series”. Jennifer L. Berg broke into the contemporary romance writers’ scene with her two notable books “When You're Ready” and “Never Been Ready” and her readers with great satisfaction have embraced both books, and I happen to be one of them.

I had an opportunity to grill this fun, mother of two lovely kids  and here’s Jennifer in her virtual avatar talking to B’Khush.

My Highland Rhapsody

"Shudhh Shakahari Desi" is all about you and me: my exposure and experiences with your culture, your food, your language, your music blended in a humor curry of my own hopeless attempts to become you and my struggle to evolve as the sole epitome of National Integration, as I grew up and cultivated my own self embracing all of my nation in over 15 states in India. Am hoping you will find some of yourself with a bit of me strewn in here....

Being Happy with B'Khush!

Posted in

I take pride in telling people I write for B’khush primarily because I like the sound of the online magazine on my lips… It’s almost like a flippant blessing – short and sweet. Something simple that replaces Ayushman Bhava! And also this blessing is so easy to accept, so easy to inculcate in one’s life and yet so complicated if you want it to be.

I am not really a preacher but here a few things that erase everything that is amiss in my life:
